The Downtown KC Crew

So have I mentioned that I have the coolest animals ever? Well, I do. And I live in a great neighborhood where pet ownership is highly encouraged (or so it seems). Meet my furkids a few of our fabulous friends.

Patrick the Papillon
He belongs to me
Age 5 (birthday 01/28/06)
Favorite Activities: chasing tennis balls, barking at the maintenance men, chasing the cat,and stealing chicken wings from my roommate's plate.
Dislikes: storms, big dogs who sniff his butt, and living with a vegetarian

Chloe the Cat
She belongs to me
Age 6 (Birthday 05/15/05)
Favorite Activities: bird watching, eating tuna, napping, chasing the dog, and posing for pictures (she's a natural model)
Dislikes: not being allowed into a room, not having someone watch her eat, and car rides

Rollo the Sharpei-Basset Hound mix/Cleetus the Basset Hound
Rollo is a neighbor dog (I usually only catch the dog's name, not the owners. Oops
Cleetus belongs to my mom. He was visiting KC for the holiday.
Age: Rollo-2, Cleetus-1.5
Favorite Activities: playing, playing, playing. Oh, and watching their ears flap in the wind
Dislikes: Having to leave the park

Jefferson the Lab
He lives in our old building (Fred is his brother)
Age 16!
Favorite activities: observing all the young pups play and eating wet dog food
Dislikes: broken elevators and those young whipper snappers trying to get him to play. It's not happening!

Fred the Basset Hound
Age 7
Jefferson's brother
Favorite Activities: Killing squirrels on the street, stealing M&M's off the counter, and charming everyone with his exceptional ears
Dislikes: not getting rawhides and not leading the pack of dogs

Just a typical Friday evening. All the pups hanging out. They can always brighten your day.

Changes. Please forgive me.

Yeah, running may not be my thing. Rather, trying to keep up with an intense running schedule in the middle of summer heat, work/fun travel, and weddings may not be my thing. But I'm working on it. One day, I will have dedication to complete it. A half-marathon is still a goal of mine, but it will have to wait until other things are in order. I think I will try for another 5K in the next few months. They are much easier

However, I still think there is plenty to share: food, fun adventures, awesome pictures with my new camera. I think you'll still enjoy reading.
